Terra-Cotta Time

Here at Outdoor Signature, we love to encourage our customers to make use of containers for planting.  Useful to add interest and structural décor, containers are available in a wide range of sizes and colors.  Obviously, there are many different styles from classic to modern, available in a huge array of hues when you are using glazed pottery.  If, however, you prefer the more old-fashioned look of simple terra-cotta, we have a few suggestions.

Cunning Cotton

Now here’s something you have probably never thought of before:  plant cotton as an ornamental in your garden.  The perfect plant for tolerating draught and heat here in Texas, cotton is also a very beautiful plant.  Works well as a background planting, standing anywhere from two to four feet tall.  With moderate irrigation, the plants are tall and bushy with lush, full lobed leaves.  The foliage is dark and leathery.  The flowers look like small hibiscus or Althea and open repeatedly for (...)
